From 1989 to 1991, Shidao Port alone berthed more than 200 Taiwanese fishing boats with more than 1000 people. Fishermen at home and abroad have more frequent exchanges and forged profound friendship.

The Guyu sacrifice to the sea in Rongcheng is a folk activity for Rongcheng coastal fishermen to pray for the protection of gods. It is an ancient form of sacrifice that continues to this day. From the initial Abstract sacrifice to the sea in nature, it has gradually evolved into the sacrifice to the Dragon King and the goddess of the sea in the East China Sea. Every year on the day of Guyu in the lunar calendar, Rongcheng coastal fishermen spontaneously organize sea sacrifice activities.
